Metro 2033 Redux

Metro 2033 Redux is a re-release of the popular home sci-fi actioner, in which the developers have made a lot of useful improvements.

Changes

Metro 2033 Redux differs from the original release with the following features:

1. New difficulty modes have been added, such as "Ranger", in which the interface is disabled and enemies are killed with just one hit.
2. Significantly improved the level of graphics - this applies to locations, characters, monsters and weapons.
3. Improved animation, so that it has become several times more realistic.
4. Greatly expanded stealth mechanics - the player can hide behind various shelters and kill the enemy silently.
5. Weather conditions became more dynamic and realistic.
6. Smaller locations were also redesigned and merged into larger ones.

Review

The story and gameplay have otherwise not changed at all. The action still takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting - in a network of Moscow underground subways, where the remnants of humanity after the nuclear war have taken refuge. Here, people are forced to confront mutants and criminal groups, to extract rare resources. The main character is a guy named Artem, who has a strange relationship with dangerous creatures called the Blacks.
