The storyline in The Long Journey Home is present only in the background. Each playthrough begins the same way. Mankind embarks on a perilous expedition into deep space. A ship with an experienced crew on board must get to the black hole to study it and make a number of discoveries. 

Suddenly unforeseen circumstances occur, leaving the characters completely alone with no help. The task of the crew is to successfully get to Earth. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the action-adventure thriller The Long Journey Home are:

1. A huge virtual world that consists of many secrets and planets inhabited by unique races.
2. Periodically, gamers will encounter pirates, with whom they will have to fight.
3. Before starting a mission, the player needs to choose four characters from eight offered - each of them has their own specialization, as well as strengths and weaknesses. For example, an archeologist will allow you to use an artifact found on the ruins of an ancient civilization, but will not be able to effectively repair the ship. But the engineer can do it without any problems and to the same quickly, but it is of no use in relics, food extraction and so on.
4. Along the way, users will encounter numerous characters who can give out quests to fulfill, as well as serve as merchants.
