Shovel Knight

Shovel Knight is a two-dimensional platformer that has been deliberately stylized by the developers to look like classic 8-bit projects for Nintendo Entertainment System consoles.

Review

The protagonist of the project is a certain Shovel Knight, who is armed, of course, with nothing but a shovel. He has a lover named Shovel Knight and she is in serious trouble. During their journey, the protagonists have found an ancient amulet that, once activated, has imprisoned the beauty.

Shovel Knight learns that the beloved has been transported to the Tower of Doom, ruled by the Enchantress, who has joined forces with the Order without mercy and has already managed to seize the entire kingdom. The character embarks on a dangerous journey to fight the enemies and remove the shackles from the captive, thus defeating the antagonist and freeing the country. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the retro platformer Shovel Knight should be highlighted:

1. Beautiful pixelated graphics in the style beloved by millions of 8-bit consoles.
2. The protagonist fights with a shovel - it also helps to destroy some objects of the virtual world.
3. There are dozens of levels with gradually increasing difficulty and each has several control points from which the character starts after his death.
4. There is a function to destroy a control point, which allows you to get much more treasure.
5. Treasure can be found from each killed enemy and caches, for which you are then allowed to buy more expensive and cool equipment from the merchant.
6. After completing the full campaign, users are offered a higher level of difficulty.
