The plot of Valiant Hearts: The Great War in the first quarter of the 20th century – immediately after Germany declared war on Russia. The French authorities, who felt that an armed conflict could not be avoided, began to deport Germans from the country. One of the deportees, Karl, joins the ranks of the German troops and goes to war. During the years of the First World War, many misfortunes fell on Karl's family: injuries to relatives, deaths of close friends. But will he be able to get out of the meat grinder that reigns on the fields of war? What will become of his wife and children?
