We Who Are About To Die has both single player and online modes. In the first, the user can train their skills against the bots, as well as work out a lot of tactics. As for the online format, in which users will confront other real users and earn valuable rewards. 

As for the plot, there is none - everything is built around the battles, where you simply need to win to get the equipment and increase the chances of success in the future. 

Gameplay

One of the key features of the fighting game We Who Are About To Die is that there are several types of gladiators to choose from, and each of them has its own strengths, weaknesses and tactics for the fight. Noteworthy among them are:

1. Murmillon - armed with a large shield, a short Roman sword, and a huge helmet.
2. Dimacher - has virtually no defense, but is armed with two short blades, one in each hand.
3. Retiarius - fights with a trident and fishing net.
4. Thracian - heavily armed fighter with a special curved siko blade, large helmet and shield.
5. Goplomachus - imitates the equipment of the Greek hoplite, fights with a shield and a spear, and in close combat uses a dagger, and others.

The battles themselves look quite spectacular and look colorful. In them gamers will see a lot of bloodshed and cruelty. For winning battles players get in-game resources that can be spent on weapons and armor. The better the equipment, the better the chances of surviving in battle.
