MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a futuristic action game set in the fictional fantasy universe of BattleTech. This world is distinguished by the fact that its wars are mainly fighter robots with pilots.

Review

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is the first video game in the series, released since 2002, which features a single-player mode and a full storyline. Nevertheless, this part retains the multiplayer mode loved by many fans, where you can fight against other real users.

The main character of the story is a young pilot of a combat mech, who serves under his father - the legendary Captain Nicholas Mason. Together with his comrades-in-arms, the unit encounters an unknown enemy, in battle with which the protagonist's father dies. From that moment on, the protagonist becomes the unit commander and must find out who is behind the invasion and avenge the death of his relative. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay chips of the sci-fi actioner MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is worth noting:

1. There are 21 missions to complete as part of the story campaign.
2. In addition to the story quests, it is possible to take orders from major companies, which will offer tasks to eliminate enemies, protect allies and so on.
3. In combat, the gamer will control his own mech, as well as giving orders to three allies.
4. The need to develop your own private company. The steeper the organization, the faster mechs are repaired, more exclusive contracts are opened and new types of mechs are opened for purchase. 
5. Multiplayer mode becomes available only after completing Episode 5 in the single-player campaign.
