Sonic Mania

Sonic Mania is definitely appreciated by fans of classic platformers of the last century, because the developers have left the control, the plot and even the image as in the first parts of the famous series about the adventures of Sonic the Jet Hedgehog.

Review

Events unfold, as before, in a fairytale universe, where the aforementioned main character and his friends, including Knuckles and Tales, reside.

The plot tells about the next chapter of the confrontation Sonic and company against the evil Dr. Eggman. He hatches another plan that will supposedly allow him to seize power throughout the world, but to implement his evil plans antagonist need to get hold of an ancient artifact - the Ruby of Illusions. It is located on the Isle of Angels and that is where the protagonists rush to prevent Eggman from taking it into his insidious hands.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the two-dimensional platformer Sonic Mania should be noted:

1. Each of the playable characters has their own set of unique abilities that help them in overcoming obstacles and in battling enemies.
2. The main enemies are Dr. Eggman's robots, as well as some bosses, the battles with which are quite complicated and will require from the gamer stunning reaction and skill.
3. Each level takes only 10 minutes of real time - if the timer runs out and the gamer doesn't make it to the finale, he'll automatically die.
4. If the user comes to the finish line faster than the specified time, he gets bonus points - they are also credited for the murder of opponents.
