The Old World is very similar to the Civilization series – the virtual world also consists of numerous cells, in each of which you can build cities or enterprises for the extraction of useful resources. As in most strategies, you will have to not only engage in peaceful affairs, but also fight with opponents who want to take away fertile and rich territories.

At the beginning of the campaign, the gamer can choose one of the many factions and dynasties. The emphasis is on the development of the latter – all personalities in the game have an age and die after a certain number of moves. Therefore, it is extremely important for a gamer not to get hung up on one ruler. It is important to think ahead and create a powerful dynasty that will be popular among the people.
