The VR version is no different in plot or gameplay from the original, but only offers a deeper immersion into the atmosphere of the game. The story revolves around Ethan Winters, who has been unable to find his missing wife for three years. Suddenly, he receives a message from her stating that the woman is being held captive in an old farmhouse in Louisiana.

Arriving at the place, the hero finds his beloved, but she is already completely unlike a person – she is infected with some kind of disease, which is why she lost her mind. Soon the hero encounters the owners of the house – the Baker family, who are also infected with an unknown virus, because of which they resemble intelligent zombies and cannot be killed by any weapon. The only way to get out of here alive and save Mia's spouse is to find a serum that neutralizes the effect of the virus.

Gameplay
