Anno 2205 is a real–time strategy video game with elements of an urban planning and economic simulator, the actions of which unfold in the distant future. In it, for the first time in the franchise, a gamer gets the opportunity to leave the Earth and colonize the nearest cosmic body – the Moon.

Review

Anno 2205 has a huge number of differences both in terms of the design of levels, buildings and units, and in terms of mechanics. Battles have changed dramatically – they now occur only in special locations, and do not lead to the destruction of cities.

In addition to the usual resources, there are rare ones – the extraction of which has become the main task for the user, since they are the ones that move scientific progress forward and will allow civilization to go beyond the Earth's orbit.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the Anno 2205 strategy, it is necessary to note:

1. The virtual universe has increased approximately 5 times compared to the previous parts.
2. In addition to the usual resources, there were also unique ones from the same Moon or from a deposit in the Arctic.
3. In addition to buildings, it is now possible to build modules that significantly increase productivity – often their construction is more profitable and cheaper, but they cannot be built from conventional resources.
4. The goal of the gamer is to develop a faction and extract rare resources that will allow you to discover unique technologies.
5. There are both peaceful and combat missions.
6. Civilization can be developed in various sectors, including the Moon, orbit, Arctic, tundra, ordinary land, and so on.
