DEFCON

DEFCON is a real–time strategy video game in which gamers can choose one of the factions and lead it to victory over competitors by using nuclear and thermonuclear weapons.

Review

As part of the DEFCON passage, the gamer does not need to develop his faction, build infrastructure, improve the economy, and so on. The main attention is paid exclusively to the destruction of enemy manpower and cities by modern types of weapons.

Each mission in DEFCON is divided into several periods, including:

1. The fifth – it is impossible to conduct military operations. Players place their troops on the map and cannot see the enemy's movements.
2. The fourth is that there are no military operations, but gamers already see enemy troops and fleets in the radar area, and also continue to place their units.
3. Third, the use of non–nuclear weapons is allowed, no more troops can be deployed.
4. The second is the full equivalent of the previous level.
5. The first is to use nuclear weapons.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the DEFCON strategy, it is important to note:

1. A wide variety of units, including submarines, multi-purpose fighters, bombers, ballistic missiles, cruisers, aircraft carriers.
2. Several key facilities important for the construction, including airfields, mines with nuclear missile launchers, radars.
3. To defeat rivals, a gamer needs to score a certain number of points.
4. Points are given for killing enemy civilians, for example, 2 points are given for the extermination of a million, and when the user loses his own people, then 1 point will have to be paid for a million.
