Ancient Wars: Sparta is a video game in the genre of real–time strategy, the actions of which unfold in the era of antiquity and are mostly devoted to the confrontation between the Greek city-polis and the Persian Empire.

Review

The gamer is offered to go through three interesting story campaigns for the following civilizations – Greece, Persia and Egypt. According to the tradition of the genre, each faction is unique in its own way - it has a unique design of buildings and units, and also uses different weapons.

All missions are dedicated to real historical events, however, there are also many far-fetched plots by developers. As part of the passage, the user can personally play for iconic historical figures, like Tsar Leonid or Darius – these are extremely strong units that can be pumped and use their dangerous perks.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the real-time strategy Ancient Wars: Sparta, it should be noted:

1. According to the tradition of the genre, during the passage of the mission, the gamer is obliged to build his own base, extract resources, as well as create an army with which to fulfill the goal.
2. All units are divided into classes – from ordinary slaves to well-trained veteran professionals.
3. The gamer can equip each fighter individually – he can choose armor, weapons and a horse for him.
4. Weapons and armor can be picked up immediately after the battle – this will help save resources, because they can equip their fighters.
5. The troops are led into battle by legendary characters – they can be pumped and unlock powerful perks.
6. Not bad graphics for its time.
