Humankind: Collection is a video game in the genre of global 4X strategy with a step–by-step format that allows you to develop one of the civilizations through six historical epochs of human development.

Humankind: Collection is not only an original video game that was released in 2021, but also all officially released add–ons that make the gameplay much broader and more versatile.

Humankind is very much like the famous strategy Civilization series, but here the graphics are much steeper, the diplomatic model has been improved and there are not so many conditions for victory. Now, to succeed in passing a single-player campaign, you only need to score a certain number of glory points for a clearly specified number of moves.

In addition, the mechanics of battles have been significantly expanded here – now they are presented in the form of auto-calculation, and in the form of battles as in tactical role-playing video games. One battle can last up to three moves, in which the parties perform their actions using tactical tricks and maneuvers.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the global strategies of Humankind: Collection, it is necessary to highlight:

1. The possibility of choosing one of ten historical civilizations, for example, Egyptian, Roman, Maya and others.
2. The gamer will act in an ever-changing world, because time does not stand still and he will have to make discoveries in order to move civilization forward through historical epochs, for example, primitive, stone, bronze, iron, and so on.
3. The virtual world is represented by a whole procedurally generated planet, which is divided into regions – only one city can be built on one terrain, but the player can go beyond it, constructing other buildings, such as mines and plantations.
4. The need to extract the key resources for the development of civilization, such as food, gold, wood, stone, iron, oil.
5. There is a tree of technologies and inventions that need to be constantly improved and discovered.
6. Developed economic and diplomatic model.
