Mordhau

Mordhau is a video game in the genre of action with a first–person view, which takes place during the Middle Ages and is dedicated to the endless wars of feudal lords for the possession of land and its riches.

Review

In Mordhau, there is no storyline as such and there is not even a single-player mode, except for a short course of study necessary to master the basic mechanics.

All attention is paid to multiplayer matches of various formats. In them, gamers are given a variety of conditions to achieve victory – from the banal killing of all opponents to the control of points, the capture of the castle and so on.

The combat system is represented by classical fencing, while players can use swords, maces, hammers, spears and other melee cold weapons. There is also a function of archery and crossbow. When storming the fortress walls, the besieging army can actively use siege weapons, such as catapults.

Modes

The following formats of multiplayer battles are presented in Mordhau:

1. Duel is a 1–on-1 confrontation, taking into account the rating table.
2. Team match – rating fights, where two groups fight, divided by 3 fighters.
3. Invasion is a classic castle siege where one side defends and the other attacks.
4. The front line – on the map, gamers fight in a 32 by 32 format, while having to capture control points and fulfill special goals.
5. Fight – fights take place at relatively small locations for the game and offer a dynamic change of modes – from a death match to a duel.
6. Horde – several users must act together to withstand 21 waves of mob attacks, manageable
