Summer 58 Mechanics

Summer 58 is an adventure quest with a view from the first and elements of horror, the events of which are transferred to the territory of post–Soviet Russia - to the abandoned pioneer camp "Youth".

Plot

The action takes place already in the 21st century. In the center of the plot is a young American blogger Alex Morton, who has gained considerable fame thanks to his extreme videos. In them, he explores supposedly paranormal places where monstrous events took place earlier, and now ghosts and restless souls live.

Subscribers are increasingly beginning to tell him about the Soviet children's camp for pioneers "Yunost", which closed right during the season in 1968. Then a monstrous crime occurred – someone killed all the children, as well as the counselors. Only one child managed to survive and all suspicions fell on him.

Alex responds to the demands of his followers and goes to Russia to find clues and restore the chain of events that led to the massacre.

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of Summer 58, it is necessary to note:

1. A colorful interactive virtual world that allows you to interact with almost every object.
2. The storyline is not served directly – the user himself is obliged to put all the puzzles together and come to a certain conclusion.
3. The absence of any battles and encounters with otherworldly beings, although their presence is constantly hinted at.
4. A tense, gloomy atmosphere, which is enhanced by an overpowering soundtrack.

Russian version

Since the events take place on the territory of one of the CIS countries, Russian voice acting is much more appropriate. An American studio worked on the development, and therefore Russian localization was not initially provided.
