Rise of Nations: Extended Edition

Rise of Nations: Extended Edition is an extended edition of a popular computer video game in the genre of real–time strategy with turn-based elements on a global map.

The updated edition boasts improved graphics compared to the original and includes all previously released official additions.

Review

Unlike Total War, Rise of Nations focuses not on actions on the global map, but on tactical battles. Gamers can enjoy full-fledged single-player campaigns with goals and hints of the plot, as well as free play. In the latter, it is necessary to go through the path of civilization development from antiquity to the information age (a total of 8 epochs of development). In campaign mode, you need to achieve a certain goal for each nation, for example:

1. Greece – is conducted on behalf of Alexander the Great, who needs to capture the entire map before 336 BC.
2. France – from the person of Napoleon Bonaparte to seize territories before 1796.
3. USA – confrontation against the USSR during the Cold War.
4. Spain – the conquest of North and Central America on the side of the conquistadors.

Gameplay

Rise of Nations: Extended Edition is a strategy game with many gameplay features that make it original and unlike the rest, including:

1. The opportunity to explore technologies that are divided into 5 branches: military, civil, economic, scientific and epochs.
2. Ample opportunities for the development and construction of cities – dozens of unique buildings for each nation.
3. An original set of units has also been developed for each faction, many of which are not found in the rest.
4. The need to extract key resources, including wood, gold, iron ore, and so on.
5. Colorful real-time battles.
