Twisted Metal is an arcade racing simulator with elements of survival, in which gamers have to not only squeeze the gas pedal, but also use firearms to physically eliminate their rivals.

Plot

Twisted Metal offers to go through four storylines for unique characters:

Sweet Tooth – tells the story of the serial killer of the same name, who was once an exemplary family man, but because of a split personality killed his own wife and now for many years pursues his daughter.
Grimm – will tell about Daniel Grimm, who lost his father (a famous racer) as a child, after which he changed his life and became a criminal, created his own gang and trades in the stages for survival.
Dollface – tells about the fate of once one of the most successful supermodels Christa Sparks, who as a result of the accident suffered severe injuries and facial injuries. They put an end to her career, but the girl plans to return everything with the help of a special mask and participation in a racing tournament for survival.
Preacher is an additional storyline that is not related to the main narrative. They unfold on behalf of a certain Preacher, episodes with whom periodically appear within the framework of the three above-mentioned stories.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Twisted Metal is aimed at dynamic racing competitions with simple arcade controls and lacks any realism. The developers paid the main attention not to the races themselves, but to the process of the pilots' battle during the competitions. A gamer can customize his car by installing various types of weapons and metal plates on it, as well as grilles that can withstand more damage.
