TimeShift 2 is a first–person shooter video game, the events of which unfold in a sci-fi universe, where a brave colonel had a chance to change the catastrophic future for humanity.

Plot

Everything revolves around one of the greatest discoveries of scientists who managed to create a kind of alpha suit during secret experiments. With the help of it, people were able to travel through time. This high–tech suit is taken over by the antagonist of the universe - Aiden Cross. Using technology, he travels to the past in order to change the future, in which he plans to become the ruler of the entire galaxy.

The main character is Colonel Michael Swift, who gets a beta version of the suit at his disposal. This model is not finalized, but the protagonist has no choice – he also goes to the future, but due to a technical error misses by several years. In this reality, Cross has already begun to implement his plans, and therefore the protagonist is forced to challenge not only the antagonist, but also his already quite numerous army.

Gameplay

The key mechanics of the futuristic action movie TimeShift 2 is the use of a chronosuit, which allows you to manipulate time. With its use, the gamer opens such functions as:

Deceleration – movement and all actions of the protagonist are accelerated, and the virtual environment slows down together with the opponents. When the mode is activated, the energy of the chronosuit is consumed slowly.
Stop – the character's movement speed slows down somewhat, but the enemies and the environment completely freeze, which makes it possible to deal with enemies without resistance on their part. Energy is consumed very quickly.
Inversion is the reproduction of time in reverse. All the actions of the opponents are reversed, the colonel moves slowly, and energy is also consumed quickly.

Otherwise, TimeShift 2 is practically no different from the classic shooter – the gamer moves through linear locations and destroys endless crowds of mobs, periodically meeting with stronger bosses.
