MechCommander 2 is a computer video game in the genre of real–time strategy, the events of which unfold in the distant future on the territory of the planet Carver V, where there is a bloody war between powerful clans fighting for power.

A now-closed American studio called FASA Studio worked on the creation of the video game.

Plot

Events unfold in the distant future on the territory of the resource-rich planet Carver V. Powerful clans have been living here for several centuries, sharing power. However, at the end of the XXIII century, the fragile peace was broken and a war for resources and power began.

Battles are fought mainly with the help of high-tech robot mechs, which have high military potential and survival on the battlefield. The main character is one of the commanders of the mech squad.

The campaign is divided into three large campaigns, the total number of quests in which reaches more than twenty.

Gameplay

Among the key gameplay features of the strategy , it is necessary to highlight:

• a huge variety of mechs of different class and size, each of which has a unique set of weapons and its own task on the battlefield;
• the ability to complete a combat squad before each task;
• the system of leveling the abilities and skills of mech pilots – the higher the level, the more effective the units are in combat;
• all missions are quite diverse and do not come down to the banal destruction of enemy equipment;
