Warshift [v1.93] (2016) PC

Warshift is a game developed by one person who has devoted about three years to game design, programming, modeling, debugging the game, etc., doing everything without any support. The game contains the pumping of ships, the development and construction of bases, space battles, action scenes and MOBA elements. Now the project is at the stage of open testing.

What did one person do?

The game atmosphere, design and even musical accompaniment are very reminiscent of transformers. And the technique itself is capable of changing the appearance in a matter of seconds. Currently, only two modes are available: campaign passage and quick battle. Online battles are not available in the test version. Any beginner will be able to get acquainted with the game world through high-resolution training videos. Understanding what is said by a virtual teacher is not always an easy task. The disadvantage is partially compensated by the presence of multilingual subtitles. There are no detailed graphics settings in the game, only sliders with three positions.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Warshift is briefly characterized as a strategy with action elements. Artificial intelligence is very far from being able to resist even a beginner. Many heroes are often unable to perform their direct duties: Corsairs shoot like apprentices, and raiders don't always take off on the first attempt.

The map is full of mining sites and energy cubes, which are resources for the construction of buildings. Drilling rigs and other mining rigs are located on them to obtain resources. Mining towers should be securely protected with protective towers, knowing in advance the ways of the enemy's approach. The winner of the match will be the one who captures all the enemy's resource bases or owns a large number of them at the time of the expiration of the game time. In the network mode, it will be possible to create armies and coordinate their actions, setting tasks for groups, but AI is not yet capable of this.

Technical component

Machines that bring death diversify the boring gameplay. With them, the capture of enemy resource bases will go much faster, but limited ammunition and the lack of mobile groups of mechanics will force you to return home several times per battle to repair and replenish shells.
