Outlast: Whistleblower is a prequel to the horror project Outlast. The developers again tried to scare the players not with ominous silence and suspicious noises, but with a real bloody madness, in the epicenter of which was the main character.

In the original game, the protagonist was the journalist Miles Upsher, who came to the Mount Massive mental hospital after a letter about inhumane experiments on patients. Whistleblower will tell the story of the anonymous author, Waylon Pak. He worked for the company "Merkof", which is the customer of experiments on patients of the clinic. One day, having come to repair computer equipment, Park witnessed the mistreatment of the inhabitants of the mental hospital and violated the non-disclosure contract by writing about what he saw to a journalist. The informer was immediately identified and abandoned to the mercy of fate among the uncontrolled psychos who seized the hospital.

Steeplechase

After the protagonist was pinned down by the guards, he was stripped naked to make the same guinea pig as the rest of the patients. Park miraculously managed to escape, taking his clothes and a video camera. But this escape is only the beginning of the path to freedom. There is no time to make a plan of action for the hero, because the unbalanced inhabitants of hospital wards immediately open a hunt for him. The programmer cannot fight back, because he has to constantly run away and hide. How to get away alive from this or that pursuer, Pak does not know. If in the original there were doors, having reached which, you can escape, then in the prequel there is no such element. But long and confusing corridors have been added, from which you can get out by plotting a route by trial and error.

Collection of mental disorders

The atmosphere of the game is really scary, especially for unprepared gamers. A truly bloody performance is being played out on the screen, the main actors of which the authors have made bosses. It is strong and diverse characters with some pronounced deviations in the psyche that operate at each location. The protagonist will see their victims or what is left of them, and will be able to imagine what awaits him if he falls into the hands of these psychos. In addition to cannibals and maniacs, the developers have added to the game a lot of characters with sexual deviations that can cause fear and disgust at the same time. What is only a copy that wants to mak
