Tannenberg (2017)

Tannenberg is a computer multiplayer video game in the genre of first–person shooter, the events of which unfold against the backdrop of the First World War.

The developers decided to focus on one global battle that was fought on the Eastern Front in 1914 – the Battle of Tannenberg on the territory of Prussia.

A team called M2H worked on the creation of the project with the support of Blackmill Games.

Gameplay Features

In Tannenberg there is no storyline and no single-player tasks – this is a classic multiplayer shooting game against the background of the First World War. At the same time, the emphasis is placed more on realism – the game uses authentic equipment and weapons, and the battles themselves take place in detailed recreated locations.

Among the key gameplay features of a multiplayer shooter , it is necessary to highlight:

• fights take place online and up to 64 real users can be in one fight - 32 for each warring party;
• realistic wound mechanics;
• Maneuver mode, where players choose one of two sides – the Entente or the Central Powers, and the goal is to capture and hold a certain sector;
• the "Battle of Attrition" mode, where players fight until one of the teams runs out of respawn points;
• the "Fight to the death" mode, where each player is for himself – he is armed only with a rifle and the equipment that he chooses at the beginning of the operation (here his own skill and tactical cunning decides);
