Rise & Shine (2017) PC
Rise & Shine was created by guys who at different times managed to take part in the work on Worms and Plants vs. Zombies, which is reflected in its cartoon graphics and game design.
Hero boy
The planet has become a victim of neighbors who have turned its government into minced meat with guns, poisoned many cities, and captured remote villages with the help of combat robots. Women with children and the elderly preserve themselves in bunkers with no visible prospect of getting out and continuing their lives, and the brave defenders one by one go to their ancestors.
A boy about 10 years old, who lost his parents in the pandemonium, witnessed a terrible picture: the old hero fell in battle, but before he died, he gave the boy a magic cannon with incredible abilities. Due to the possession of a superweapon, the kid himself gradually gains combat experience and more than once gets out of bloody meat grinders. His cannon constantly respawns his hero and he goes to continue the battle, which causes the enemies to fly into a rage.
Talking Weapons
The gun received from the hands of the deceased can talk and reacts violently to what is happening around. It can shoot with conventional and electric cartridges in three modes:
- classic;
- managed;
- grenade launcher.
Here the game has direct premises to worms, only for thinking over the course and calculating the trajectory of the bullet there are no 40 seconds. But there is a slo-mo mode, which allows you to change the flight route of an already fired bullet, while simultaneously dodging a hail of enemy shells.
Unresponsive management is the main reason why the hero is constantly dying, even hiding behind shelters. And controlled shots do not solve the problem, and the health scale of the young hero is only present. It is enough for exactly one accurate shot of the enemy. The need to recharge and the inability to fire in motion severely limit the boy's capabilities.
Graphics
Worms fans will perceive the design of the levels as something very familiar and close. A colorful picture saturated with colors and details is rarely found in two-dimensional platformers, as well as high-quality animation of characters, charges, explosions, blood splashes and everything else. The maps are created manually, which is why there are virtually no identical objects in the game.
