Command & Conquer: Red Alert Remastered (2020) PC

Command & Conquer: Red Alert Remastered is a collection of two video games in the genre of real–time strategy Command & Conquer Siberian Dawn and Command & Conquer Red Alert, which were released back in 1995 and 1996.

At one time, these strategies were the highest achievement of the strategy genre and even after a quarter of a century, they still have a large fan base. Most strategy developers in the future simply took Command& Conquer gameplay as a basis and created all new projects only in the original setting.

To pay tribute to loyal fans, Westwood Studios decided to release a reissue of the two most popular parts of the series in updated graphics and with improved gameplay.

Plot

The events of Tiberian Dawn unfold in parallel reality. A meteorite falls to Earth, which carries a mineral called tiberium to the planet – it is a very valuable source of energy. A certain private organization undertakes the extraction of the mineral and gradually increases its power, planning to gain power over the world in the future. Governments of all countries form a coalition to stop the corporation – the war for Tiberium begins.

In Red Alert, the plot unfolds in an alternate past – thanks to Einstein's development, it was possible to go back in time and kill Hitler. The Second World War did not begin, but this led to the strengthening of the power of the USSR, which soon began a massive offensive on the territory of Europe. The Western world has created an Alliance that challenges Stalin.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Command & Conquer: Red Alert Remastered is quite simple and interesting as it is canonical in the genre and among its characteristic features it is necessary to highlight:

• building your own base – economic, defensive and military facilities are available;
• the ability to build unique units with their own strengths and weaknesses;
• each faction is also unique – it has characteristic weaknesses and strengths that need to be used to defeat the enemy;
• victory is achieved with the complete destruction of the enemy's forces and its base;
• more than 100 interesting tasks in campaign mode.
