Partisans

Partisans is a strategy computer video game with tactical turn-based battles set during the Great Patriotic War. In 1941, the German army moved inexorably straight to Stalingrad, and the Red Army forces were unable to stop the offensive. Then the guerrillas went into battle, operating deep in the rear, undermining the military might of the Reich on the Eastern Front.

A young team called Alter Games worked on the project.

The plot

The young Red Army commander Alexei Zorin, who after one of the defensive operations is taken prisoner by the Germans, is in the center of the plot. However, his will to freedom and love for his homeland forced the protagonist to flee.

In order to continue to fight against the Nazis, the protagonist decides to assemble his own guerrilla unit and begin to operate behind enemy lines. His task is to destabilize the rear of the German army as much as possible in order to slow down its movement and give time to organize the defense of Stalingrad.

Gameplay

Partisans is not a bad tactical video game on a seemingly hackneyed theme, but the developers managed to create something special in the setting of World War II. Some of the key gameplay features of the strategy game include:

The ability to go through missions in different ways - to attack from ambush, move with stealth, or go head-to-head;

full control over the guerrilla unit - you can independently assemble the group, recruit volunteers and increase their level and skills;

building your own guerrilla camp and developing its infrastructure;

the need to collect supplies, equipment, and weapons - the squad must have all the means to survive in the rear.
