X-Morph: Defense is an original hybrid that combines elements of a twin–stick shooter and features characteristic of the Tower Defense genre.

Description

Events unfold in the future, when the Earth has become a victim of the invasion of an alien civilization – X-Morph. Powerful invaders begin the complex process of transforming the Earth. The player does not stand on the side of humanity and does not defend the blue planet, instead he takes control of an extraterrestrial ship and resists successive waves of the human army, as well as protects giant devices that extract resources and change the Earth's atmosphere.

Gameplay

X-Morph: Defense is divided into various missions, and the gameplay mechanics are based on two main aspects: the first is the planning stage, during which you will learn which units will attack and what tactical move they will use. This is important, because during a firefight, the key to success is the creation of defensive structures and watchtowers throughout the map. In this way, you can create mazes that will be a significant obstacle to enemy forces.

The second aspect is the assessment of the correctness of actions, because different types of enemy units require their own approach. The ship controlled by the player can take four different forms, each of which is designed to deal with a specific type of threat. The plasma fighter is the most versatile form capable of fighting both ground and air threats. The dark matter bomber copes well with large groups of vehicles, and the shredder fighter is an ideal choice for fighting ground aircraft. And also from time to time the player has to face powerful mechanical robots.
