Brut@l (2017) PC

Brut@l is a roguelike video game in which the game world is based on ASCII code, which creates unusual graphics, borrowed aesthetics from the original 1980 release. A similar one can be found in Dwarf Fortress 2008 and in many old games.

The game was developed by the Scottish studio Stormcloud Games.

Gameplay

The main goal of Brut@l is to reach the 26th floor of randomly created dungeons. The final boss "Dungeon Keeper" is waiting there. To do this, you need to choose one of the available characters (Ranger, Mage, Warrior and Amazon) and face opponents such as orcs, werewolves and stone monsters. During the game, you need to create new weapons and enchant them so that they can face increasingly demanding opponents. In addition, there are various types of potions, although their effects are unknown to players – when making a decision about consumption, they actually risk making the situation worse. The gameplay is designed both for players who prefer to fight on their own, and for enthusiasts of the cooperative. There is also a level editor available in which you can create dungeons.
