Oxygen Not Included is a breath of fresh air for survival simulators, in a world where oxygen is not generated, but becomes another resource, you manage a colony and extract precious fossils on an asteroid, with a huge risk of being buried alive.

Gameplay

Initially, three sims (duplicates) are available and your task is to cut space out of the asteroid area to create a production line and extract high–tech resources. Duplicates also have individual traits that affect how they will learn, how qualified they are and how they act under pressure. There are many different types of gases: oxygen, carbon dioxide, chlorine, etc. Each of these gases behaves to a certain extent in accordance with the physics of the real world. For example, in a room with carbon dioxide and oxygen, the gas will fall to the bottom, and oxygen rises.

This means that base planning becomes extremely important. You need to create a zone in order for the imperturbable carbon dioxide to descend until you can explore the gas pumping technology. Overheating, starvation, lack of oxygen: life inside the asteroid is hard. And all this can certainly happen, so it is very important to take care of the needs of your wards, such as: oxygen, food, water, warmth, happiness and even about the toilet. Processing the production of resources and waste will become an increasingly complex process. Not only do you need to produce fresh oxygen, but you also need to find a way to remove carbon dioxide before the whole place is filled. When plumbing becomes available, it will be necessary to find a way to pump clean water, as well as create a waste dump somewhere.
