Aporia: Beyond the Valley (2017) PC

Aporia Beyond the Valley is an amazing adventure game, the main inspiration of which was the indie hit "Dear Esther". It has an exciting story, telling without dialogues and any text, only through music and visual effects.

The game was developed by the independent studio Investigation North.

Description

It has a unique visual style. There are no commercials in the game, but instead there are interactive drawings in real time. Aesthetic expression and form really shine through in these scenes, and seem like an exciting way to tell a grander story. Players must constantly analyze hidden meanings in order to follow the plot, which adds interest to the narrative. Everyone can and should create their own understanding of events, although a carefully written story exists, but the goal is to give the player his own, individual perception of the story and see if it corresponds to the originally intended one.

Gameplay

Aporia provides you with a lot of puzzles that veterans of the genre have met many times. None of the puzzles are unique in any way and, in addition, their solution is not difficult, there are also several funny, hidden, puzzles, but in general they are all pretty standard. However, this is not a very big problem, since the adventure itself is amazing.
