Call of Juarez: Treasures of the Aztecs (2006) PC

Call of Juarez is a first–person shooter developed by Techland and published by Focus Home Interactive for Microsoft Windows in Europe in September 2006.

Plot

The story concerns the "Legend of the Lost Gold" Juarez. They say that this money was for the redemption of Moctezuma. The gold disappeared after the fall of Tenochtitlan, and some believe that the treasures were buried near the city of Juarez. Legend has it that Huitzilopochtli put a curse on the treasure, and that everyone who searches for it will find only madness. The plot of the game begins with Billy, who was returning to his hometown in Texas after two years spent searching for treasure.

When he entered his house, he was glad to see his mother, but not his stepfather, Thomas, who beat him every day. In fact, Billy does not know who his real father is and he got his nickname from a locket that his mother gave him. However, upon arriving at his farm, Billy found Thomas and Marisa dead, lying under the words "Call of Juarez" written on the wall in the blood of his relatives.

In between all this business, in the city, a woman warned a local preacher, Brother Thomas Ray Mccolla about the shooting at the farm. Ray drops everything to see Billy standing over the bodies. The main character panics and runs away, and Ray assumes that Billy is the killer.

Gameplay

The game is provided in the first person. The player controls alternating heroes:

1. Billy "Candle".
2. Ray McCall.

Each of them has their own style of play. Billy's levels are partly based on stealth, whereas the levels with Ray will take place in greater numbers in shootouts. Although the style of play for both characters is slightly different, the management of each of them is generally similar.
