Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (2013) PC
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is a first–person horror video game developed by The Chinese Room and published by Frictional Games.
Gameplay
First of all, the whole gameplay consists of the first person. Players will explore the environment using a flashlight, diary entries and notes, which will provide information. Most of the puzzles that occur in the game are based on physical interaction with the environment. This part is a bit similar to the previous one, but there are still small differences:
- The Sanity mechanic has been removed.
- The health lost during the injuries of the Mandus will be restored.
Plot
There are several interconnected storylines in the game. Some of them take place in the past, present, frankly real, and some are only those that can be imagined. The story of the game begins in London on New Year's Eve in 1899. The main character is Oswald Mandus, a wealthy industrialist and butcher, who is supposed to be a close nephew of Daniel, the protagonist of the first part. At the beginning of the game, he wakes up after a fever that lasted several months, following the return of their disastrous expedition. On this trip, he explored the Aztec ruins in Mexico.
Throughout the story, he hears the voices of his sons, Edwin and Enoch. They call on the father, who has to make a decision, either Edwin or Enoch. Mandus receives a phone call from an "Engineer" who says that his children are trapped in a "Car" that the main character has created under his house. Worse, the car was sabotaged, putting the sons in danger. The engineer performs the tasks of the Mandus. The protagonist eventually reactivates the Machine, but the Engineer betrays him by taking control of the mechanism, releasing Manpigs on the streets of Lond
