Plot

In front of us is a chameleon star named Yooka and his purple friend Laylee. These two live an amazing life in a ruined pirate ship. Laylee has discovered a valuable book.
But before they could study it, the book was stolen and its pages scattered in the wind. This turn of events is the result of the dastardly machinations of Hivory Towers, an evil corporation headed by the dastardly B.
He and his vice president Dr. Quack plan to steal all the books in the world. That unusual book can rewrite reality on its magical pages.
Now our heroes have to go on a journey to destroy the Hivory Towers.

Gameplay

Yooka can run and jump in any direction while Leyli sits on his head. Initially, these are his only steps, but later he learns more skills from the snake Trowzer. Trowzer gives our heroes a spinning attack to harm enemies and break boxes. Most of the remaining moves must be purchased using Quills.
Some of these powers include gliding, the ability to eat berries and spit them out in a Yooka style, a sonar wave that reveals invisible platforms, and camouflage to hide from security cameras.
