Plot

You play as CutterSlade, a former naval soldier chosen by the US military to accompany a team of three scientists on a mission to a newly discovered parallel universe. The military initial probe successfully landed there, but was damaged by an alien life form. Slade and his team must find the probe.

When Slade arrives on an alien planet, he finds himself without a crew and equipment and surrounded by locals who worship him as the foretold "Ulukai", the being who will save their world, Adelpha, from the militaristic tyrant Faye Ran. Slade seems unfazed by this development. He is more angry that the locals, called Talons, stole his weapon, as they believed it was a sacred artifact.

Before he can find the probe, Slade must travel across the continents of the world, help the locals and learn more about what has become of his team. But Slade quickly discovers that the events on Adelphi are not quite what they seem at first.
