Kara no Shōjo (2008) PC

Kara no Shōjo is a video game by Innocent Gray for PC. It was released in Japan in 2008 and for English-speaking markets in 2011. The initial concept was done by Miki Sugina.

Plot

In 1956, after World War II in Japan, the story of Kara no Sheho revolves around Reiji Tokisaki, a private investigator who investigates a series of grotesque murders at the request of his former colleague Kyozo Uotsumi from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police.

The murders resemble another chain of serial attacks that occurred six years ago before the game. Having lost his fiancee, Reiji's desire forces him to resolve this case. He meets a girl named Toko Kuchiki, who asks him to find his real self. The hero initially does not know what she means, but later discovers that Toko has an unusually complicated past, which may have more in common with the current series of serial murders. Working to solve the growing number of cases of attacks in Tokyo, Reiji takes a little time to get to know the mysterious girl. Working behind the scenes, he tries to unravel the secrets of her dark past.

Gameplay

As a visual novel, the gameplay mainly revolves around reading dialogue with other characters. Your choice will influence the outcome of the story. At certain points in the plot, the player character is assigned to investigate crimes. During these investigative actions, you have to examine all the scenes to discover the evidence.

Later, the user must collect all the evidence during the conclusion sequences, in which the protagonist needs to find the best answer from the hints received during the passage. As you progress, you will meet new NPCs, of which there are only 29, for example:
