Stranglehold (2007) PC

Stranglehold is a third–person shooter game developed by John Wu. The game is a logical continuation of the script of the movie Hard Boiled.

Clan Wars

The main character named Yen (nickname Tequila) is hired by the largest Hong Kong crime syndicate to free his ex-wife from the clutches of the Russian mafia. Even if the inspector cannot tolerate his first wife, he cannot refuse such serious people.

The hero will have to walk through seven long locations, turning all living things into a pile of corpses. Each level was created 100% manually. Praise be to the one who can find a couple of identical fragments.

Not an easy walk

The slo-mo mode copied from Max Pain allows you to run away from bullets, which is what we do for more than half of the game time. The corridor of the shooter and the myriad of opponents that are generated right in front of your eyes make you use time dilation at every opportunity. When the game turns into a shooting gallery, you forget about the colorful flight of bullets, whirling air currents.

The game is simple even at a difficult level because of the intelligence level of Russian shooters. They do not understand that by hiding behind a shelter, you can at least delay your death and cause some damage to the protagonist. Mafiosi take a lot, but unsuccessfully, but how beautifully they die.

The protagonist's skills allow you to diversify the dynamic shooting range, such as:

• aimed shot;
• fast shooting with rotation – this is how John Preston dealt with the servants of the local Inquisition;
• heavy attack – turns off the ammo and health indicator, allowing you to destroy dozens of enemies in a couple of seconds;
• self-healing.

Unreal 3

The developers squeezed the maximum out of the latest version of the game engine at that time. High-quality facial animation will tell you more about the mood of the hero than subtitles. Shaders are responsible for the quality of blood, exhaust gases, fire and other special effects that fill any frame, if it's not the last seconds of the level
