Terminator Salvation The Video Game (2009) PC

A third-person shooter, released almost simultaneously with the film of the same name. The protagonist of the game is John Connor, the son of the main character of the first Terminator movie.

Plot

Robots intend to wipe humanity off the face of the Earth. Although John Connor is not quite an ordinary mortal, he treats people very positively, therefore he rushes to the rescue of a group of fighters who find themselves surrounded by the enemy. At the head of the team, the hero moves through an abandoned city, trying to destroy as many terminators as possible. Not all comrades manage to survive – the onslaught of enemies is too strong. Connor's main goal is Skynet, from where all cars are controlled.

The developers promised to tell the story of the world, including the origin of each type of robot, but a clear narrative did not work. The information is presented fragmentally in the protagonist's mental monologues and radio conversations.

Gameplay

The main occupation of the player throughout the gameplay is shooting at robots from cover. The shotgun is used to hit at close range, the machine gun shoots quickly at long distances. There are also rocket launchers and grenades in the arsenal. If such a combat system gets boring, you can shoot in motion, for example, from a car, train or being inside a huge robot.

Opponents are represented by three main varieties:

• cyborgs are humanoid robots that die from head shots;
• spider–like robots on four limbs, the weak point of which is a generator located on the back;
• drones – explode when a direct hit from a weapon.

Locations

Most of the time, the main character will fight in an abandoned metropolis, the streets of which are filled with wild plants, and buildings and roads are collapsing without human hands. Through the sewers, the team will get into the subway. Some miss
