Velvet Assassin (2009) PC

A stealth action game about the everyday life of spies during the Second World War. The tasks of the representatives of this profession were not easy: the elimination of Nazi leaders, the rescue of other intelligence agents from captivity, the interception of important secret documents. In the game, all this falls on the fragile female shoulders – the heroine Violet Summer spies no worse than James Bond.

Plot

The prototype of the main character was the British intelligence officer Violetta Chabot. The mission in France was her last: the Nazis seized a woman and brutally tortured her before shooting her.

Violetta is also unlikely to see a victory over Germany in the game: she is in a coma, and her subconscious gives out memories of the tasks that had to be completed. Information about the life of a spy is served in small portions, so that the fragments will form a single picture only in the final.

Gameplay

The heroine will spy on protected sites in Poland, France and Germany. The gameplay is built with an emphasis on a stealthy passage. It is advisable to open fire to kill with a pistol or machine gun only in critical situations. In other cases, silent killings are welcome. To do this, Violetta uses classic stealth techniques:

• hiding in the shadows;
• puts on the enemy's uniform;
• distracts/attracts soldiers by whistling, turning on the radio;
• lures opponents into traps.

An intelligence agent has about 20 ways of silent murder in stock, does not disdain to cut throats in cold blood and pierce through the most expensive thing that men have.

An injection of morphine gives the effect of slowing down time: the heroine in the frame looks more openly, and the Germans obediently accept death at the hands of a seductive beauty.
