S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - The Path of man "Step into the Unknown" [v.1.0004] (2014) PC

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - The path of man "Step into the Unknown" is a global modification to the original game Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl, which adds a large number of interesting quests, leaving the gameplay part practically untouched.

An independent amateur team called Hemul36rus worked on creating a PC mod.

Plot

The modification continues the concept of the Human Path, adding even more interesting tasks that exist independently of the main story. All new quests are positioned as additional, but their semantic component is in no way inferior to the main ones. In addition, completing tasks will take dozens of hours.

The actions will unfold in territories unknown to anyone, the number of which reaches several dozen.

Gameplay

In general, the modification did not affect the underlying mechanics and concepts, but only added new content. Among the main innovations , it is reasonable to highlight the following:

• added several types of mutants;
• new weapons, equipment and other useful items, such as medicines and food;
• locations drawn from scratch with unique terrain and buildings;
• Another powerful group called Half-breeds has appeared.

Otherwise, we have a good old Stalker in front of us: The Shadows of Chernobyl. As for the visual component, there are few changes here either. Since the modification was released in 2014, the developers have somewhat tightened the graphics level, making it more modern. The quality of detail has improved, but no new effects have been added.
