Sakura Spirit or the Spirit of Sakura was released in 2014 and glorified newcomers to the gaming business, the Winged Cloud company. This is a single very successful case of developing a visual novel outside Japan. There is no replayability, since there is no choice in the player. The storyline is straight.

Mysticism takes place in the real world

A young athlete Gushiken Takahiro is preparing for the judo championship, where his fate as a participant in the upcoming Japanese championship will be decided. The guy has been striving for this for several years.

On the advice of his comrades, the guy finds an abandoned temple in the middle of small forests of his native country. He prayed to the spirit dwelling there and asked for support and spiritual strength to accomplish his plan. The spirit responded to the request and said that a grandiose event would happen to the guy in the near future and transferred him to another world, leaving a trained body in an old castle.

Spirits live in a parallel universe: people and girls with fox ears, whom the first stopped trusting. Takhikaro undertook to help solve the conflict that arose between people and sexy beauties. Will he cope? Why did the spirit send the guy to feudal Japan? What is happening in his world at this time and will the athlete have time to return home by the start of the competition?
