"RimWorld" is a two-dimensional indie game about the construction and development of a settlement.

Plot

A spaceship crashed over an unknown planet. The survivors are trying to survive. The next task is to colonize an alien planet in order to build a new spaceship in the near future and return to their homeland.

But this part of the universe is not so abandoned or uninhabited:

2. Sometimes space pirates try to profit from something valuable.
3. Some part of the space station may fall out of orbit, which is also not completely safe and pleasant.

All these events are random, but they can be adjusted at the beginning of the game.

Features

At the beginning of the game, you need to choose a "narrator" (three are given to choose from). The frequency of random events, their nature and the difficulty of passing will depend on it.

The generation of locations, or more precisely, the entire surrounding world, can be produced by the gamer himself. The sequence of actions is as follows:

1. Creating a planet.
2. Set the difficulty level in the form of a narrator.
3. Decide on the three initial characters.
4. The choice of location on the planet (there are many climatic zones available, from deserts and tropics to taiga and tundra, from plains to mountains).
5. Adjustment of the number of living creatures and different periods of development of the plant world.

From this moment on, you can start developing your settlement. And although the ultimate goal of the game is to build a spaceship, but the time frame is not set. And they are not needed. After all, you can not strive to fly away from this planet at all, but take root on it forever, strengthening the colony and preparing for permanent existence.
