Steam Squad is a turn-based military strategy, which is made in the classic style for this genre.

Gameplay

In its mechanics, the game is very similar to such popular series as XCOM and Jagged Alliance. Here you also have to lead a squad of soldiers who have the following equipment at their disposal:

• rifles and machine guns;
• melee weapons;
• grenades;
• first aid kit.

Given that the strategy is turn-based, each fighter has action points that can be spent for the following purposes:

• to the shooting;
• on the move;
• for treatment with a first aid kit.

As in the aforementioned games, an effective tactic here is to save part of the warrior's points in order to set him up for an attack that he will undertake during the enemy's turn when the enemy is in sight.

First, you will have to go through a training mission, where you will be introduced to the features of the gameplay. During the briefing, you will receive detailed and visual explanations. Features

The game has pretty nice graphics, despite the fact that it is a bit "cartoon". The surrounding world is well developed:

• days are replaced by night;
• a sudden fog masks enemies;

The animation of the soldiers is done well – their movements are quite diverse. They can:

• use equipment and guns;
• climbing ladders;
• crawl;
• climb over obstacles;
• hiding behind shelters.
