8-Bit Hordes: Complete Edition (2016) PC

"8-Bit Hordes: Complete Edition" is a classic strategy made in cubic graphics, very reminiscent of huge pixels. This is what the name of the game itself hints at opaquely.

What's wrong

The unusual decision of the developers to implement their idea in such an unconventional way for the current times has some obvious flaws:

1. With a large batch, when a huge crowd of various units gathers, clouds of smoke rise, and the heads of soldiers are watered with shots from distant guns, the whole picture takes the form of a bright iridescent spot in which it is simply impossible to single out one thing.
2. A little primitive mechanics. This becomes clearly visible when resources are captured. Whoever grabs more at the beginning will get an undeniable advantage.
3. The presence of only two races in the original version. But the developers have provided additions that make up for this flaw.

Other features can be viewed from different angles. Someone will see a minus sign, and someone, on the contrary, will like it.

Positive

But it is also worth praising for the simplicity of many solutions. If someone is tired of sorting out newfangled toys with a bunch of various gadgets, where every smallest detail has a significant value, then his path lies in the direction of "8-Bit".

Everything is very simple here:

1. Buildings do not have a clear specialization. The more configured, the faster units will be released.
2. The use of personal abilities of soldiers occurs in automatic mode (passive), without the participation of a gamer.
3. The tactics of actions are elementary – I gathered a larger horde and – forward with an open visor.
