"X: Superbox" is a series of single-player games on the theme of science fiction in the genre of space simulator, developed by a German company based on the books of fellow countryman, science fiction writer Kautz.

X: Beyond the Frontier 

This is the first of a large series of games. It was released in 1999. Events are developing at the end of the third millennium. The plot is that during the tests of a new spaceship, the pilot gets with his broken ship to an unknown part of the galaxy. The aliens repair the equipment and issue an invoice. Now the gamer has a choice:

1. Follow the storyline.
2. Stay alive in the X universe.

If you play for the passage, then the last mission will be the destruction of an alien ship preparing for departure to Earth.

X-Tension

This is an add-on released the year after the main game. But many consider it an independent continuation, where the main character is the same spaceman. After defeating the Xenons, he leaves for the universe to begin his own journey away from Earth.

X²: The Threat

Continuation of 2003. The main character is the previous one. He can freely move around this corner of the universe to fight, trade and build, complete all tasks in any order or go through a storyline involving exploring this corner of the galaxy, solving several mysteries and preventing threats.

X³: Reunion

In this sequel, released in 2005, the central figure is the son of the main character from the previous parts. The gamer can, as in the previous parts, follow a completely linear plot or go about his business, taking on various tasks. At any time, you can return and leave the passage without any damage.

X³: Terran Conflict + Albion Prelude

This is a 2008 reissue of the previous version three years ago. At first, many assumed that this release would only be an addition. But the "Earth Conflict" has become a significant expansion, additionally combining several of the most successful mods.

X Rebirth
