The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux is a computer video game in the genre of adventure quest and detective. The game was created by the experienced studio The Astronauts, whose employees had previously created such popular shooter series as Painkiller and Bulletstorm.

Plot

The game offers to become a detective who has many years of experience and a couple of unusual abilities, which allows him to successfully investigate any crime. The detective is able to visualize the crime scene, partially observing the events that took place earlier. In addition, he is able to summon the spirit of the deceased person and talk to him about what happened.

The plot revolves around the case of a missing little boy. The main character undertakes to investigate the case after the discovery of the corpse of one of the kidnappers. The trail leads him to a small town isolated from the big world. Upon arrival, the detective realizes that the local population is hiding some secrets that are connected with the disappearance of the boy - he will have to solve them.
