Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a computer video game from the young British studio Ninja Theory. The game tells about the adventures of a mentally large female warrior who believes that she has fallen into the world of the dead.

Plot

Events take us to the end of the VIII century of our era. It was during this period that the warlike Vikings began to raid the territory of Britain, where the indigenous population lived – the Picts. Senua is a young warrior girl whose village was attacked by Vikings and killed all the inhabitants. The heroine miraculously managed to survive, but her lover did not.

The main character is haunted by a serious mental deviation, because of which Senua is sure that she is able to see the spirits of the dead and the terrible creatures that inhabit the world of the dead.

After the fight, Senua believes that she must go to Helheim (the world of the dead) in order to resurrect her lover.

Gameplay

According to the Hellblade genre: Senua's Sacrifice refers to a slasher and has the following features:

• the main character has a large arsenal of various techniques available;
• punches can be linked in combos;
• dodging strikes and blocks play a huge role, while it is important to calculate the direction of the enemy's strike;
• enemies have a large supply of lives, which is due to their origin, whereas Senua is more vulnerable, because she is an ordinary girl.

Interestingly, to create a realistic game world, the developers enlisted the help of neuroscientists and psychotherapists who helped create a really crazy atmosphere.

Graphics

Released in 2017, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has an amazing level of graphics. And although the world around us is not drawn at a revolutionary level, but the characters really look like real people.
