The protagonist of the story is a young warrior named Hilda. The girl is a member of an elite fighting squad called the North Wind. Her brothers in arms were once given a mission to go to Afes, a now-cursed kingdom. Nothing has been heard from the warriors since, which greatly frightens the protagonist, as her own father is among those missing.
Hilda embarks on a perilous journey to Afes to discover the reasons why her friends and family have gone missing, and to understand what kind of curse has fallen on the once prosperous land.
