Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter

Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter takes you back to World War II and puts you right in the middle of the key battles at sea. As part of the walkthrough, the gamer becomes the captain of a U.S. Navy ship.

Review

The protagonist is the experienced captain of the destroyer Fletcher, which is part of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. The ship and its crew are ordered to confront Nazi vessels and submarines that pose a tremendous threat not only to military installations and equipment, but also to civilians. 

The story campaign for the most part reproduces the actual battles that took place between Germany and the United States. Most of them will take place locally - large-scale skirmishes with dozens of targets are almost absent except for a few missions. 

The main attention the developers paid to realism, so the gameplay mechanics is not simple. It takes a lot of hours to give the game before the user learns how to act effectively.

Gameplay

4. In the course of the mission the user will often have to make a choice of what to do in this or that situation, and then face the consequences - they can be both good and negative and lead to the death of the destroyer and its crew.
