The Ascent

The Ascent is a video game in the shooter genre with an isometric view from above, as well as with RPG elements, the actions of which unfold in a sci–fi setting of the future.

Visually, The Ascent is a full-fledged cyberpunk adventure in which you can change the hero with the help of cybernetic implants. Everything around hints at revolutionary technologies, and the city looks in neon colors.

Plot

The action takes place in a huge futuristic metropolis called Veles. The world around us has changed a lot over the past centuries – states no longer exist, and instead large corporations have taken over the reins of government.

The leading position for decades has been occupied by a corporation called Ascent Group. However, quite unexpectedly, the company collapses and the shaky world disappears without a trace. A bloody war begins between gangster groups and other companies that intend to take its place.

The main character is a mercenary who has devoted his whole life to the service of the Ascent Group and is obliged to find out the reasons for its collapse, as well as to stop the impending massacre.

Gameplay
