Necropolis is a third–person action video game with elements of roguelike, which takes place in a fantasy world, with a touch of sci-fi.

This is the second major game developed by an independent American studio – Harebrained Schemes.

Description

Events develop in a huge magical complex with constantly changing forms. The player controls a brave hero whose task is to explore this place and get out of it by defeating the creatures inhabiting the complex, of which the most important is the mad archmage – Abraxis and the "mind" created by him, which feeds the souls of the unfortunate who are stuck here.

Gameplay

Speaking of mechanics, we are dealing with a full-fledged action game, with a dynamic and demanding combat system based on a good sense of time and animation. We must carefully approach collisions and study the behavior model of opponents, and then use their weaknesses. The player can improve their chances by using various magic potions that need to be brewed from the collected ingredients. In addition, it is possible to find certain well-hidden mystical books that supply him with spells and runes.
