"Beyond Cruelty 8: The Red Cat" is a standard mix of the game genres of quest and "Object Search" in the detective shell of the investigation of a mystical crime.

Plot

Already known for his successful investigations, a private detective receives a letter with a cry for help. The mayor of Venice turned to him, begging him to save his son. And the meaning was as follows. The murders of citizens began to take place in their city. Before the death, a drawing of a red cat appeared on the victim's door. And so, such a sign was received by the son of a high-ranking official.

But the way to Venice was a long way, and the detective almost saw another victim of a mad maniac, jumping out of the carriage at the moment when the door slammed behind a strange man in a red raincoat, and the sounds of a desperate struggle began to come from the room.

Still, the mayor's son was saved, but the detective managed to notice a few strange moments:

1. The official, during the release of his son from the mechanical spider, mentioned that he had already dealt with the locks with which the young man was fastened. It is worth saying that the key to the lock had a very strange shape and an ignorant person would not be able to use it quickly.
2. The criminal left a cryptic coded recording.
3. The attacker reappeared and threatened everyone with quick reprisals, and broke away from the chase with the help of a powerful hand-held explosive device.
4. One of the rich people of Venice, who was killed in Paris, was somehow connected with the criminal.

Here in such a time pressure the player has to act, being on the tail of a bloody maniac.

According to the tradition of the developer studio, the game has four difficulty levels. The first three are standard, and the fourth – the player can customize himself according to his personal desire, which elements of the hints are needed, and without which – he will cope on his own.
